Kale and Italian sausages truly complement each other as condiment for a savory pasta.
- 200gr spaghetti (or any long-shaped pasta)
- 6 leaves kale
- 1 pure pork sausage
- olive oil
Wash and clean the kale, and remove the tough fibrous ending. Chop it coarse and cook it on a large pan, with some olive oil.
Meanwhile, put the water to boil. When boiling, add the pasta and salt it.
As the kale is almost cooked, put it on a side of the pan and add the sausage: remove the skin and shell it with your hands on the pan. In this way, the sausage will cook readily and break in smaller pieces. When golden brown, mix with the kale. If needed (meaning, too dry), add a spoon of the water from the pasta and let cook altogether.
As the pasta is cooked (al dente!), drain it, and add it to the kale+sausage, letting it absorb the juices from the kale and sausage, serve and eat 🙂
