Baked Mont d’Or Recipe

A gorgeous Mont d’Or cheese…melted in its own box

 

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 Mont d’Or (400gr, in its wooden box)
  • 5cl Jura wine
PREPARATION

Preheat the oven at 180 C.

Cover the sides of the box in tin foil to prevent leakages of the melted cheese. Dig a small hole in the middle of the cheese and fill it with the wine:

When the oven has reached the temperature, insert the cheese (at medium height) and bake until the upper crust has melted (eventually after 30′ turn the oven to grill on the upper shelf).
